Update : 20 - 2 - 2012
Welcome ................
Timeless Twilight.........
Our affix was the first name of a list we had to send to the Dutch Kennel
club.
We are very happy that they granted us this name because the meaning of
our Affix is hat
you never stop learning about your dogs, litters and the shows
Our first collie was a dog with ( of course! ) a great white collar,
Olaf van ‘t Leypark.
We called him Roy (Cliff v.d.Baetscomber x Méry v ‘t Leypark).
We were married for one year then and finally had a flat for our own. This
was in 1979.
We always wanted to have a dog and Wiel always said that he wanted to have
a Collie,
because he had his first one when he was 7 years old.
In our village the owners of a flower shop had a Collie and after a visit
to this shop we had a lovely bouquet of flowers
and the address of the kennel! After having been to a few shows as
visitors, we entered our Roy at a small clubshow.
He won his class and we were so proud so we entered him at some more
shows.
We had bought Roy in the first place as a pet, but he was really
successful on shows
and the best memories are those when he won his class at the Dutch Collie
Club Show in 1980.
One year later we bought a half brother to him, Reggie
van ‘t Leypark (Ch.Lansingh’s Super Stranger x Méry van ‘t
Leypark).
Reggie didn't like the shows at all
We bought our first bitch Blazing Treasure at Calicot
( Light Shadow of the Cleveland Hills x Ariane de Sier).
She became a Dutch Champion and Winner Amsterdam in 1989, at age 7 years!
She was also the mother of our first litter of eight (6 dogs, 2 bitches)
born in 1984, sired by Aberthorne Ambush.
Initially we had only sables, but in 1993 we bought our first tricolour
bitch in France Harmony de la Ferme des Blés Dorés
(Gasby Black du Clos des Centaures x Flora de la Ferme des
Blés Dorés).
She was wonderful as a puppy but unfortunately she didn't grow out as we
expected,
but she will stay in our Kennel as long as she will live, as all the other
oldies.
We had a litter from her and litters with daughters from
Blazing Treasure of Calicot
but finally we decided that it was not really the type we were looking
for.
We got the opportunity to have a two year old bitch out of Sweet Return of
Lynway and Ch. Glen Morristone’s Fortune Teller:
Lansingh’s Que’Sera, "Smoochie".
For us she was the most important dog in our kennel. Her first litter in
1995 was with
Ch. Jonny vom Dünnwalder Bush and we kept a dog,
Timeless Twilight’s Fame or Fortune called "Herbie".
Herbie didn't like the shows very much, he was placed a few times, but his
children are more successful,:
Dutch,German & Luxemburg Ch.,Bdssgr. Riding’s Deep
in my Heart ( M.Uddemar, Sweden).
World Junior Ch 2000 , Belgian Junior Winner 2000 Scottlyme You Got It
( D.Richter, Belgium)
German Youth.Ch.Rosegarden Heaven-Sent,
3 x CAC, 2 x CACIB, 1 x BOB (P. & B. Fricke, Germany).
Even his grandchildren are successful in the showring, amongst others:
Ch.Xotic Lover of Slatestone (J.Ourth, Luxembourg)
and
Hungarian Yth.Ch.Rosegarden Jumpin Jazzy
(J.Papp, Hungary)
on the continent and in England:
Amalie Deep in My Soul (A.Hollywood) who is the
father from Ch.Lynmead Simply in my Soul (C.Waterhouse)
From
Lansingh’s Que Sera’s last litter with
Brylin
Misty Shadow at Carostar
we kept a
bitch:
Timeless Twilight’s Just For Fun
"Macey".
She became the Most Successful Homebred Show collie NL 2001,as well as the
Top Winning Sable-and-White Show Collie NL 2001
All our collies are eye-checked and have their hips x-rayed. We even check
the litters on their eyes when they are 7/8 weeks old.
For us it is important that all dogs or bitches we want to use for
breeding have their eyes and hips checked.
We also look for a good character, good outline, sweet expression and what
is behind the Pedigree.
